Happy Valentine’s Day!

Valentine’s Day is always so much fun. Normally I buy everyone a little stuffy and more candy than they need, but this year our family is doing a sugar challenge, so I had to get a little more creative. Since today is a holiday, we are technically allowed to consume sugar without it counting against us, but I still wanted to make the day a little healthier than I had in the past.

This is where Pinterest came into play. I simply searched “Valentine,” and then spent the next hour perusing some of the cutest ideas on the planet. I had quite a list of ideas, but to do them all would have been overkill, so I had to narrow it down. I then had to narrow it down even further once I realized that some of the things I would need would not be available in our little town.

dsc_0086I had a blast putting together these silly little gifts for the family. My kids may be getting older, but they still love getting things like play-dough and hot wheels. The fun thing was that I got to make them a “Valentine” lunch with Awesome-sauce, “Wild” animal crackers, and an orange with a cute little message on it. Rob’s treats were a little more grown up, but with cashews and sushi, I think even he is looking forward to lunch today. 🙂

Think you Pinterest for all the fun ideas! Wishing you all a Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Ah, Valentine’s Day. One of the few days in a year when everything is pink, and even the boys don’t mind. Hope you were all able to spend the day with those you love.

Six trays of treats waiting to be taken to school.

Sweetheart Swirl from Great Harvest Bread Company. Positively sinful.

My Sweet Valentines

And just for fun, I came across these pictures of the twins, taken on Valentine’s Day back in 2007.
