It doesn’t seem to matter how old I get, I love it when my parents come to visit for my birthday. Something about it makes me feel like a little girl again. Which, now that I am officially in my mid-thirties, is a welcome feeling.
We visited the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center (where I learned of a new birthday buddy),
relaxed at Giant Springs,
took a stroll through the flower garden,
enjoyed the ducks and geese at Gibson Pond,
took some photos at the Visitor’s Center,
swam in the hotel pool, ate some cake (though lying about your age is not advisable…),
and enjoyed a yummy breakfast down at Tracy’s, my dad’s favorite place to eat.
I can see their hotel from where we are parked, but their car is now gone from the parking lot. As all visits do, this one went by too fast, and the time has come to say good-bye. Thank you for the wonderful visit, Mom and Daddy. We treasure the time we are able to spend with you. Miss you already.
Until next time…
