To Boise and Back Again

The kids and I returned home safely from a visit down to Boise, but like all vacations do, it went by too fast.

After a 12-hour drive, we arrived in Boise on Friday evening. Shortly after we arrived at my parents’ house, my sister and her kids showed up. We then had a wonderful weekend of visiting and catching up with each other. My grandma was brave enough to spend some time at the house as well. I was also able to get together with a favorite friend of mine. She has a beautiful family and it was nice being able to visit. Once a year just isn’t enough…

I don’t get to visit my family nearly as often as I would like, but we all live so far apart and have many different things going on in our lives. I am grateful for every minute we get to spend together and am lucky to have such a wonderful family.

Thank you to my beautiful sister for making the drive up from Reno so we could all be together. Your kids are getting so big and they are all wonderful. You are such an amazing mom and your babies are lucky to have you.

Thank you to my very dear friend for taking the time out of your busy schedule so we could get together. I know things are hectic right now and while sleep was probably at the top of your list, you visited with me instead. Your children are precious and I am so glad we were able to spend some time with you all.

And thank you to my parents for putting up with us all. I know that two extra adult and six kids is a lot to take on. I love the time we are able to spend together. You spoil us something terrible. Thank you so much for everything. We love you very much and look forward to the next time we are able to get together.

  1. you and Rob may have had your troubles but from what I have just read you are one very very lucky lady. Your Mom and Dad are far too young to have grown up children and they look so happy.
My family and I live in different countries..it is me flying to UK to see them all and they are all flying or travelling somewhere else so out of my 8 days visit I actually see them once if I am lucky.. I really wonder why I bothered! So YOU are so lucky and so are your parents to have children that actually care enough to go and visit …..

  2. You and Jess grew up to be such wonderful, loving daughters, wives, and mothers. We are truly grateful to be the lucky parents of you and your sister and grandparents of 6 of the most wonderful grandkids. We are thankful for the time we do get together, however long or short. We are so blessed and we love you all so very much. 🙂 🙂
