My Big Sister

Sister to sister we will always be,
A couple of nuts off the family tree.

Watch out for hairballs!

I am not sure if I have ever properly introduced you to my big sister. She also happens to be my favorite sister. And my only sister. She is beautiful and funny. Wild and crazy. Sweet and lovable.

Be careful, your face might stick like that!

Today just so happens to be her birthday. She is… well, while I better not say how old she is, I can tell you that she is a good solid age. (And older than me!!) I can also tell you that if you were to double her age, she would only be 70. (That didn’t give anything away, did it?)

Why hello beautiful!

My dear sister, what a ride this wild life has been. I am thankful every day that even though we fought and we fit and we scratched and we bit (or perhaps those were the two cats from Kilkenny…), I was able to grow up with you.

Um… you have cake on your nose.

Happy Birthday, Jessica! I love you to pieces. I wish we could be there to share your cake, but unfortunately, too many miles separate us. So enjoy your day, eat lots of cake and know that I am thinking of you and missing you more than you know.

ps – Jessica, I hope you don’ t mind that I shared some of your most beautiful pictures with my readers. If you are ever ready to talk to me again, you know where to find me! Oh, who am I kidding, you couldn’t possibly live without me. 🙂 Nor I you. Happy Birthday, Sister. I love you!

  1. What a lovely tribute to your sister (in spite of the age reference), but I’m sure she’ll forgive you!
She sounds like a barrel of laughs; it’s a shame you can’t spend her birthday with her and get some more of those zany pics of her!

  2. Well if your sister is half of 70 she looks very young. 35 is a good age to be and I only wish I could turn back the clock and be 35 again!!

Do you and your beautiful sister look alike?
