I may not be there yet, but I’m closer than I was yesterday. ~Author Unknown
Our old house does not seem to want to sell. Our agents, who were very confident a short six weeks ago, are no longer so. They want to drop the price by enough that we would have to do a short-sale. After stressing about that for the last couple days, we were told today that it will be possible to buy another house. I feel a little better about it, but it still breaks my heart to think of all the time and effort we put into the property, just to feel like we are throwing it away.
I went to the DMV for the second time this morning and was turned away… again. Hopefully the third time will be a charm. My “proof of residence” utility bill wasn’t good enough, and we “really need to have” new drivers licenses. The only problem is that in order to get new licenses, birth certificates and our first-born child are required, among other things. So the quest to track those down has begun, and until I come up with everything, we will be driving on expired tags.
We have moved enough times to know that things don’t always go smoothly, but it seems to get more difficult every time we do it. Good thing we do not plan on doing it again…
